A friend of mine sent me this and I felt like sharing it with you

Look back and thank God.
Look forward and trust God.
Look around and serve God.
Look within and find God!'
I asked God, 'How do I get the best out of life?' God said,
Face your past without regrets.
Handle your present with confidence.
And prepare for the future without fear!''
Time is like a river.
You cannot touch the same water twice,
because the flow that has passed will never pass again...
Enjoy every moment of life.
Be Blessed!!!!
That's right...
ReplyDeleteEven though I feel tempted to say 'easier said than done' as I've trying to do that for quite a long time now. I am getting close but damn it's not easy as it words may make it seem.
I know how hard it is to follow the words but it is always comforting to remember them:)
ReplyDeleteWell as a matter of fact it's not one-bit hard at all to follow any of those words but rather mmmm... --sorry couldn't find a proper adj. - I mean to say they're not even words to be followed...but rather words to be explained and most importantly justified --yea, maybe I should have put that adj. above. I find them childishly naive for any of us --adults - to follow them. Though we might agree on their 'holistic' or EVEN their 'spiritually healing' message, I am afraid to say that that's pretty much all we can do with 'em...
ReplyDeleteWe've been taught far better words than any of what's in that email u received...but the thing is that those words remain but incomplete unjustified answers to a kind of questions most of us already know the answers to, I am talking about the "what...?" type of questions...what we're in more need to find answers for are the "how...?" type of questions...see?
If i can add any thing to that email...it's going to be "hey be happy." followed by a *wink* Period.
--It'd have been much better & HELPFUL if you had just copied some motivational quotes instead.
you see innate .. we do not have all the answers ... we get screwed and the shit hits the fan ... and we lose control ... we ask why and we do not get an anser .. we ask how and what but also are not given answers.
ReplyDeleteWe just have to believe that life goes on and we have to make the best out of now.
We cannot live "now" in peace unless
1) we put aside the questions we did not get an answer to
2) we put aside the fear of tomorrow or we will spend now thinking of "what if ..."
It is hard .. but I guess such simple words tell us that "there are no mistakes in life" and that we need to be accepting of whatever we are handed to deal with.
I cannot think of any motivational quotes now:)
