He also addressed the president saying:
You are fast asleep and you don't know how messed up things have become; but I am sure you know how your government officials are behaving! You have no mercy! Your gang is running loose killing citizens and all you care about is the presidential chair. You are at war against your own people! Your gang will not protect you! If Egypt were invaded by some foreign country, they will run, and you will run, but we will stay and defend our country. This is our country and we want to be free from your occupation. When will you leave? When will Hosni Mubarak and his gang leave? When? We need a change! We need a drastic change away from this stagnant government!
If I were in "their" shoes, I would be scared too! Here is a young man who has firm beliefs – agree with them or not – and he lives by those beliefs! He is outspoken, courageous, and quite fearless – what could be scarier than such a man? He challenges all forms of authority! He is smart and cultured! He has a stance! Most important of all, he is a blogger who has a voice – a loud clear audible voice reiterating a clear compelling consistent message!

I have consciously stopped myself from holding my nieces until they were at least one year old for fear of awakening the motherhood monster that I have sedated. I made peace with the two scenarios – being barren and cancer – and moved on with my life.
Why are you afraid of him? Is your faith that fragile? Are your religious beliefs that vulnerable? Are you that weak? Who are you to censor another human being's thoughts? He is free to think and write just as much as you are free to adopt different ideologies. Like you, Waleed was born with a right to choose! Like you, Waleed was born with the right to freedom of expression! God – the God you believe in – gave us all the right to choose and He is the only one to judge us! I am sure that God is ashamed of his own creation! It's a tale as old as time … the allegorical story of Cain and Abel! Man judging Man! Man killing Man! Man censoring Man! Man muzzling Man! Man silencing Man!
